Interesting. On first tasting, the astringency was too present and the leather took over, leaving my mouth dry. It got much better on subsequent and larger sips, exposing the buttery baked cereal which provide and adequate and satisfying counterpoint.
Really sweet citrus, like lemon after one of those magic berries. Sherbert. Pineapple. Heather and pine. Pepto Bismol.
Honeycomb, crunchy-nut cornflakes, lemoncello cut by Astringent tea tree, leather and tobacco. This transitions into the spice, which is peppery at first, but subsides fairly quickly to a background hum. Pretty syrupy despite the astringent tones.
The more you drink, the less Astringent it tastes and the more mellow sweet the tail is, which gets buttery and cakey, with less leather although the tobacco remains and softens to a rounded cocoa.
