The Maltman is quite dark in character. Surely he saw sherry too, but also some wood. Overall, it is probably more pleasing since it does not have the special notes as the Claxton.
-
Tart plum jam. A little bit of fruit bread. Leather and tobacco. Nutmeg. Toasted nuts. Forest floor. Wet tree bark.
-
A mix of sweet and spicy. Forest honey. Grape juice. Chocolate. Some pepper. A little hint of smoke. But is probably more aromatic oak.
-
The "smoke" gets colder, the chocolate darker and it gets drier. Some cold coffee.
