First, a very dark sherry spills into the nose, dark inlaid raisins with an intense woody note with some polish. Alcohol you notice a bit. Clearly a change between the muted sweetness of fruit bread and wood and seasoning. This is accompanied by an interesting note of light sulfur and burnt. Super interesting, since I did not really expect that. Exciting!

I let the Glenburgie breathe for 30 minutes, which can not hurt after the opening. First, of course, how can it be otherwise, intense sherry, less sweet for it with strong, already anticipated seasoning with a strong start. Add a touch of sulfur and coffee. Fits fine. The whisky lays completely on the palate and offers much more sophistication than anticipated. Adding minimal water will make it really rounder and sweeter, overall a little milder and I'm very pleased with its zero bitterness. Despite only a middle age of 12, you already have clearly noticeable complex notes.

The finish is a long time with beautiful sherry, plus some coffee and dryness with a little wood fire.
