Whisky Reviews for Auchentoshan 12-year-old

- A very light dram that is fine for a session dram but not particularly rewarding.
Nougat, sugared almonds, a little vanilla and candied fruits.
Quite creamy with white wine notes and its also buttery.
There is some notes of butter cream mixed in with a little pear.
- (A sample)
very nice and easy malt, A summer dram. Doesn't need any water
malty, very balanced and rounded, slightly perfumery, melon
nice and sweet, then turns a bit drier and peppery, ginger
peppery, touch of grapefruit
- A great lovely soft Lowlander!!
- The most wonderful soft lowlander!
- Wish the contents would live up to it's label. Nice looking bottle but the contents is slightly disappointing. It's not bad but it's more the alcohol that does the tasting as the oak. It's drinkable but there are better Auchentoshan's around, like the Three Wood.
