Colour: Light Amber
Nose: Soft and sweet with vanilla, caramel, bacon fat, candied plums, cloves, ginger, allspice, sea salt and charcoal smoke
Palate: Light baking spices build into more french vanilla, bacon grease, chocolate, cloves, mint, brown sugar and toasted almonds
Finish: Medium to Long with smoked ham hock, roasted cashews and butter
Pretty fun fatty style of Ledaig, although the sherry influence isn't as prominent as I'd expect. For the money I think there are better casks of Ledaig out there that retail well under this one so maybe best to look at those (particularly ones from Elixir Distillers and Blackadder.) Still a fun pour!
