[October, 2011]  Together with friends I emptied a bottle that I bought for 81 Euro in December, 2003.

    In my old rating system (ten scales that translate into WB points: 50 - 66 - 75 - 80 - 82,5 - 85 - 87,5 - 90 - 92,5 - 95) I scored it 90.  My notes state a very delicious combo of peaty and sherry flavours that is dangerously quaffable...

Chilan Yushu, born in the courthouse, is so small that one can imagine the appearance of 18 years. The shortcoming is that it is limited by production capacity. The first version of longrow 10 should only use a few barrels to adjust, which is a bit thin.
    • Nose
The smell of marine minerals, shrimp crawling on the shell, kelp that the sea chasers drying on the black reef, the alkali metal element and the sweet malt, the fat is rich and industrial, and the red berries in early spring.
    • Taste
Lightly salty coarse grain snacks, cooking tobacco, peat, barley aroma, lubricating oil, honey, sweetness chasing Bourbon barrel, sodium glutamate, slightly fruity acid

It is fuller, fat is richer, sweet, less acid, no astringency, no bitter bottom.
    • Finish
      Longer, pepper, peat, barley.

    A textured body.
    • Nose
Very restrained, nutty sherry, with sea air and peat smoke  lurking behind.
    • Taste
      Slightly sweeter, creamier, more rounded.
    • Finish
Almost a shadow of the nose. Nutty at first, then the peat emerged, followed by the salt.

Wonderful dram, I love sherry and this one does not disappoint. Some times the younger ranges are also just as tasty. Found this up in Santa Monica, Ca. USA Love this small boutique store it has all these rare finds at a reasonable price.
