- This was a great bourbon cask. Very lemony and apple-y, and a bit of mint too. Needed some water for me, at 60% and 8y this was a bit too sharp.
- SMWS Tasting Notes: A tiptoe through the tulips. Lots of lightness, grassy notes, floral aspects, herbal, daisy chains, buttercups, icing sugar and then, out of nowhere, a wee droplet of tobasco, some toasted pistachios and milk bottle sweets dusted in green pepper. Water adds to the cauldron: candy floss, smints, ozone, clove rock, meadow flowers, baking soda, boiled lemon sweets, warm malt bins and a potting shed in the high summer sun. The palate opens rather weightily on lime jelly and mint. Also honey, filo pastry, citrus curds, pink grapefruit, elderflower champagne and juicy fruit chewing gum. With reduction there's lemon and honey liqueur, aged cointreau, lemon drizzle cake, freshly piled ironing, thai basil, polo mints and retsina pine wine.
