For the age and with the obviously good barrel a nice malt.

Beautiful drop, can not deny its Fassherkunft.
    I like port.
I just enjoyed the malt, with water I think
you could also tickle out a lot .....
Slightly metallic, caramel and a dominant sweetness spontaneously come to Glenallachie.

  6. J.K.Ch did not rate this whisky Expert Senior

    • Nose
Sweet and sour very attractive and fragrant. Honey, cherries and wood with spices.
    • Taste
Spicy, sparkling, sour cherry. It is very good, but the tastes of the cask power blend a little. Dilution adds a bit of bitterness, but opens up citrus and vanilla tones. Chocolate is added and it looks a bit like Moncheri.
    • Finish
Woody pleasantly bitter with a large dose of spices and pepper tones.
After dilution it bites, but the feeling that we just finished eating MonCheri is persistent.

first quick notes: the nose really stands out - beautiful!
the mouthfeel shows the younger age and it lacks a little substance. good malt though.
just for taste - would not pay more than 100 €!!
    shoutout to Ralfy, of course!!

2019.10.13 - This whisky made me open for a maturation type, that I was hating on from the very first time that I tasted one.
    Absolutely amazing ruby port maturation.
    • Nose
Chocolate, the best side of a red wine. Red fruits, cocoa powder, sour/sweet fruits. Slight milk acidity, creamy, hint of vanilla.
Fruits and creamy/milky vanilla profile. WIth time, the maltiness comes forward, contributing into the overall complexity.
    • Taste
Very sweet and fruity, and does not feel that alcoholic.
    • Finish
      Creamy
