Nose: dry citrus, some honey, sweet, coffee and
at the very back light smoke but only a hint.
Palate: sweet, slightly salty, dry fruity, vanilla,
slightly citrus, again a minimal hint of smoke
and coffee again.
Nothing dominates. Everything well integrated.
Perfectly drinkable alcohol strength. Can be done for minutes
chew. Nothing burns. After 1 minute something comes up
peppery tingling with it.
Finish: sweet, delicately bitter, some wood and spicy notes.
Comment: Not very complex but very fine
and ripe. These old blend whiskeys from the 60s / 70s
have their own charm, are very drinkable with
perfect drinking strength and a good price -
Best suited for connoisseurs who have a good whiskey
want to drink who is as old as you without several
having to spend a hundred euros.
My favorite everyday dram. I always have one
Open the bottle of it.
