I'm kind of torn. Actually a great exciting malt. Somehow tasty too, but clearly too sherry-heavy for me. But that's probably how it should be. In any case, I can't really make out the Aultmore character anymore.
Very intense, dark fruity note. Raisins, plum jam, leather and tobacco notes, a lot of sherry, now and then a slight sting, otherwise the alcohol cannot be felt in the nose. Somewhat reminiscent of brandy. Syrup-like, light herbal aromas, in the background there is still a dark gravy mixed with red wine.
With water: lighter, rounder, apples, orange peel, bananas come through, vanilla is discreetly noticeable, leather and tobacco almost disappear. The herbs turn into spices like cinnamon, some marzipan. Clear sour cherry emerges. Wood,
