Nose

Sweet peat (more earth than ash), medicinal smoke, anise
cherry & pineapple, quite fruity. Honey as well. Steamed rice cake, tobacco from the rim top of the glass. Malt from the rim bottom.

Taste

Oily, fruit tea and got slightly fruitier. Oranges. Rich but not much change on the palate.

Finish

Oaky sweetness, little bit smokey, mild pepper spiciness, short and all around my mouth. Some medicinal bitterness, peat lingering with a thin layer of wax left on the tongue.

nose:
on dirty stable hay, on dirty rubber too, on dandelion too; orange fruits give a little more cheerfulness to this nose
mouth:
It gives off well on the stable, on the corridor of the medicinal hospital, intense!
malty sweetness on the hazelnut, it's oily, peppery, minty, fresh fact
return of medicinal peat and cooked orange fruits
final:
spicy, stable and hospital peaty, candied fruity on orange and malty, long in fact and very pleasant.

Too soft in the nose, it brings out a little more character and notes than the 18-year-old brother, not completely stunning either, but tasty, nutty caperdonich with nice smoky notes.

Nose

Restrained, super compact, difficult to get individual notes out, nutty, very subtle smoke, hazelnut, earl gray, dried fruits, mostly lemon and apricot, malt

Taste

Bitter orange, dried citrus notes, malt, earl gray, hazelnut, walnut, rye bread, apricot, herb honey, thyme, tobacco, beautiful oak, dried pineapple

Finish

Tobacco, nut, dried pineapple, coffee, oak, medium to long

The dram has more power than 48% would suggest.

Typical Caperdonich "rubber tyres, sweet peat and smoke" are predominant in the nose. I really love this.
On the palate and finish bandages are wrapped around the tongue and leave a unique medicinal taste.

Good+ length of the finish.

Went to 2cl drams in the whisky club repeatedly. It is a bottle that you can't judge by just a dram... - the dram gets better and better every week: breathing...

Very cool stuff from a distillery that at least I miss for this particular taste (see Caperdpnoch peated 14yo WBID 39940) , but yes, I agree the retail price is very steep... well, a lost distillery... and I fear these prices will seem awfully low in a few years (see Convalmore...)... for tasty history in a glass.

Certainly a good smoky malt. Due to its age, it delivers beautiful, degraded, but still very present smoke. Nevertheless, for me it is certainly not worth the currently called 250 €.

Nose

A little orange peel. Lemon tea. A little sourdough. Suggested a bit of sorrel, perhaps. Herbs. Roasted nuts. Wet gravel. For me, the smoke is a mixture of campfire smoke with phenolic overtones and removes burnt rubber.

Taste

Kind of thin at first. But then he slowly builds up. Much sweeter than on the nose. Herb candy. Agave syrup. Then tart yellow apple. The wood and smoke now take over. It tingles through the wood and the smoke ensures dryness.

Finish

Briefly some lemon shower. Smoked meat. Tree bark.

Nose

Peat smoke, medicinal notes, sweet, vanilla, honey, hay, heather, grassy, fruity (oranges, tangarines), ashy

Taste

Rich, complex, peat smoke, herbal tea, minty, liquorice

Long, smoky, sweet, fruity, oaky

I am still too young to know that all the gifts of fate have secretly marked the price.

Nose

The medium and direct peat of the colony style, the closest winery on the Airy should be Laphroaig, but it is not so delicate, ferns, medical bandages and a small amount of dried fish. After the peat is the sweetness of woody plants and grains, polished leather, honey and pine spices.

Taste

Sour? Mindless peat sweet water plus the scene of an accident like a wine barrel failure, the tail moved more towards the oak. The taste is so exhaustive that I gave up.

Weak, oil-free, less sweet, less acid, astringent, slightly bitter.

Finish

Medium, red berries, grasses, bitter rhyme of Chinese medicine, stove ash.
