Here I am doing a follow-up test again, maybe. I just had a bad day ...
> The follow-up test after a few months was no better either.
What irritates me personally is the fact that many whisky connoisseurs love and praise the whisky, while a no less large number dislike the whisky and describe it as too bitter. Vlt. the 6600 bottles were filled in "internal" batches, while one barrel selection was very good, and the other batch was possibly not so good barrels ... is just a guess, because I can't explain the clear differences in any other way - different Tastes or not.
Sherry aroma together with red dried fruits, but not dominant. The malt note is there, but not as pronounced. In contrast, I notice a combination of strawberry (sweet strawberry cake) and mint more clearly. The longer he breathes, the clearer I have a fruity-sweet strawberry cake. Nice!
In the post-test I have fermented fruits, but they don't go down that well for me ... Well, the strawberry aroma with mint comes through again. But this 'Two' can't really captivate me.
first soft, then peppery. Oak note with strong malt together with a creamy dark / tart chocolate. Becomes very bitter (oak-malt bitterness) at the back. (He may need a drop of water at this point - a follow-up test is needed).
medium to long. I no longer find any fruit notes, with me this oak-malt bitterness lays on the tongue and then lingers for a very long time. I think it's a bit of a shame. A nut aroma is added later; has something of a bitter almond.
