Day 2 of Lockdown - 19th March - Highest respect to all Doctors and Nurses fighting at the front line. Besides them, sense of relieve when knowing the Security abang are still manning our compound, so happy when see the Binman still rounding to emptied our garbage room this morning, tuition teachers still teaching with FB Live, the newspaper uncle, the supermarket staff, food deliverers and many more unsung heroes that are still on duty at various necessity and exempted industries, Thank You. ????????????

N- Evolving sweet sherry with spicy leather nuance, caramel custard, savoury pepper spices, then to milky bitter chocolate with dice herbs. (87/21)

P- This batch seems had wee much of oxidized notes, dry but not so pleasant at times. Traceable spicy ginger with solid oak rising but to a void, missing some 'filler' it seems. Stiff dryness whirl around bitter notes. (84/18)

F- Medium, ginger, resin coating, waxy and pine notes. Feel like it is trying a bit too hard but not achieving what it should be. Below par for a usually very good 18YO. (85/19)

    B/B- 85/19

Weighted Rate- 77pt Look at the bright side, 2010 Release will be better.

    What a flavor!

    A true Macallan.
    Oak, sherry, vanilla.
    Nothing else.
    Exactly my taste.

    He is soft, balanced, noble.
    Nothing bites, nothing bothers.
    Purebred Sherry Cask.

    Terrific!

Room temperature when drinking: 18 ℃

    Viewing Eyes: dark amber

Smell Nose: At first it was woody frankincense, sour berries, slightly oily. The honeydew raisins in the middle and American muffins prop up the whole structure. Cinnamon, cardamom, ginger slices and other wooden spices as auxiliary lines. Mainly a fermented aroma, which is thicker and thicker, more than a little better than 12,

Taste Palate: The front part is basically based on dry milk fat, dehydrated Shakya, the milky texture of durian meat, dried durian. Then it transitioned to the oily fragrance of nuts, badan wood, and walnut pie, and the woody, linear, black, leather, smoke, and old newspapers began to appear in the latter section. The blending degree is high, the aroma is plentiful, and the flavor level is gradually smooth.

Finish: Finish, long, milk, raisins, cinnamon, milk chocolate, woody spices, astringent mouth

Body: Medium and full of oil, with a certain sense of wrap, almost no bitter bottom, and slightly tannin

    Nose: 87/100

    Palate: 87.5 / 100

    Finish: 86/100

    Body: 86/100

    Overall: 87/100

Overall: The Shirley barrel elements that I don't like seem to be avoided.

I liked the 2018 version better. Will try again in a few days and update the score if necessary.
Update: No improvements. I deduct 1 point.
