  1. Andytka3 did not rate this whisky Connoisseur

An early 20th century brand. Unclear of the year released and abv of this bottle, but surely an old school stuff sometimes in the 70s. It was said to contain 24 grain and malt whiskies, including Lagavulin, Craigellachie and Glen Elgin. Predictably the name Logan has nothing to do with Hugh Jackman, but named after the founder - James Logan Mackie.

N- High malt I presume, top vanilla candy and minty notes with milky underlay. Rounded with chocolate and sweet wood smokes. Oozes of nougat with nutmeg pickled ginger lurking. Though still relatable but an old bottling that may have lost some edge and over the hill.

P- Leathery sleeks to peppery coat, subtle smokes with toasted oak. For a while it seems fine but turn stale and nose dip with obvious sour dry notes, lack stamina to boost further.

F- Short, dry, oxidize, under strength and faded, no thanks to the greedy angels.

B/B- Change to cork cap and parafilm might help to prevent oxidation, but trust will do little good to this bottle.

Weighted Rate- Unrated. Old bottling that already not at its best.
