Whisky Reviews for Sherry Bomb Vol. 3 LFN

One of the best sherry bombs since the beginning of whisky production. Okay, that sounds implausible. But this single malt is really one of the tastiest I've ever had in the glass. Since the Macallan Ruby can not keep up. No wonder, because this Sherry Bomb vol.3 is also 23 years old.
    • Nose
Fruit. Sherry. The alcohol is so well integrated that you hardly feel it. You just take it right now. Fantastic. Rarely experienced such a pleasant first impression.
    • Taste
I can not describe the complexity of the taste. For my vocabulary is not enough. This sherry bomb is just a treat. Again, the alcohol is only slightly felt. And then there's chocolate and raisins. I have never experienced anything like it.
    • Finish
Long, fruity, sweet. Hardly any alcohol. Raisins. Delicious.

The sweet sherry kills all the fine nuances - for me it is too superficial for its age and above all too sticky sweet

Chocolate syrup, sweet sherry, prunes, sweet marzipan
    • Taste
      86 86
Sugar-sweet, TriTop syrup, red berries, chocolate raisins, with thick, herbaceous soy sauce behind
    • Finish
      86 86
medium length - sweet thickened red grape must

  3. Kantenmechaniker scored this whisky 91 points Connoisseur

Really a top whisky, exactly what I expect from a sherry bomb!
    • Nose
The first warmed impression is super chocolatey, almonds, dry sherry, leather, dark fruits, grated lemon peel, with time there is also a slightly effervescent sweetness, with red berries, nice oak spice, a breeze of tobacco, indicated a little iodine, mint lurks in the background , I could smell forever, very pleasant
    • Taste
creamy, sweet starts, raisins, full load of sherry, chocolate, liquorice, slightly nutty. sweet, bittersweet, raisin concentrate, slightly acid, leather, mint, intense, super fruity and creamy, the alcohol is super integrated, full-bodied, very nice
    • Finish
still creamy, nuts, salt, grapes, above all a light fruity sweetness, fruit bowl behind, slightly tart, medium length

Sample from the Sherry Bomb Tasting. The 10 year olds were more homogeneous. One writes leather and mint. Certainly multi-layered, but too much furniture polish for me.
