A dusty aroma at first whiff, a slight fino and winey note is lurking. Dried coconut, some ripe green pears and some honey. A soft smokiness and limestone notes are creeping in, those classic Springbank notes you'd expect and love.
With time it starts to open and even more fruity notes appear, it literally begins to nose like a glass of peat reek infused pineapple juice.
Strong spiciness on arrival, a blast of ginger and pepper. It's getting a little fruity with mango and apricot notes.
After having a breathe it still keeps its pepper spice, the fruitiness picks up but there also a noticeable funky note making itself known. And with time it becomes the driving force in the palate.
Some funkiness here, vegetal notes with some old and smoke last for a long finish.
