Nice barrel finish. I have to try more from Glen Elgin.
Heavy dark and full of nostrils. Dark fruity notes. Plum compote, strawberries, sourcurrants, grapes. Alcohol is barely noticeable. Slightly refreshing components come out of the way with a subtle sweetness. I still suspect a hint of nuts. Nice spicy gravy.
Everything harmonious, nothing really bothers.
But not very complex either.
Dry on the palate. Sparkling, spicy sharpness first. Then come the fruit notes. Here rather prunes, raisins, figs and dates. Emotionally everything a bit more intense than in the nose. In addition, tobacco ends in a rich chocolate. I like it very much.
Departure is short to mid-length. Gets drier. But he stays fruity. In addition, light cocoa. Nice rounded finish.
