What a color. Very beautiful. Any amount of turbidity in it. Set something right off.
Nice barrel finish. I have to try more from Glen Elgin.
    • Nose

Heavy dark and full of nostrils. Dark fruity notes. Plum compote, strawberries, sourcurrants, grapes. Alcohol is barely noticeable. Slightly refreshing components come out of the way with a subtle sweetness. I still suspect a hint of nuts. Nice spicy gravy.
      Everything harmonious, nothing really bothers.
      But not very complex either.

Dry on the palate. Sparkling, spicy sharpness first. Then come the fruit notes. Here rather prunes, raisins, figs and dates. Emotionally everything a bit more intense than in the nose. In addition, tobacco ends in a rich chocolate. I like it very much.

Departure is short to mid-length. Gets drier. But he stays fruity. In addition, light cocoa. Nice rounded finish.

Cloudy in the glass like fresh grape juice. madness color! but almost too much turbidity. So much massively in the bottle settles on the floor. What was that weird drum? The high alcohol is barely noticeable in the nose and mouth, I like that very much. I smell beautiful tawny port notes. In the mouth gespritteter grape juice, otherwise unfortunately little to nothing, a whisky-typical finish is missing completely there is nothing. can understand the high ratings in any way, you recognize at no time a whisky and I really like strange whiskys in general. But yes, it's a crazy part.
