There is a certain imbalance in this whisky. The taste is quite different from the nose. In this case, I will skip this nuance in the final assessment, since the nose and taste here are very good.
    • Nose
First of all, very strong waxiness, furniture polish and tropical ripe fruits (mango, pineapple). Then dry field herbs appear, a drop of honey,
    • Taste
The taste is dominated by medicinal herbs. The feeling that you have poured a healing decoction of many herbs that are difficult for me to voice. Honey and a little pepper were added to this mixture.
    • Finish
      Medium on herbs and pepper.

The palate is quite unexpectedly ruined by a damp, musty and moldy tinge. Otherwise it might as well be a great dram…

Excellent berry (I would say young jam) old whisky, but very fresh at the same time.
The taste is again berry, slightly spicy and enveloping. Very pleasant. I want to savor. Although not very difficult in general.
Finish - tannins, some oak, and jam.
    Unexpected for me Glen Moray!

In the nose you have some of the fruits you can expect to have in Glen Moray. The more mature version that is. Not overripe but juice ready- to- eat- fruit. Sweetness. Full of body and very pleasant.
In the mouth, you get suprised, the mouth does not match the nose totally. This is complex and not easy. You might get some wood, but absolutely nothing of the wrong kind. Malty, fruits and a really amazing mellow taste that fill the whole palate.
In the finish, this lady keeps you warm, like a soft and sweet blanket draped upon you, medium long but due to the unusual taste for Glen Moray.... keep playing around.

End of story.... an pretty unusual Glen Moray, but all that speaks in his advantage. You might need the time to chew a bit on this, but when you did... you know you need a second bottle ;)
