- Definitely some Laphroiag type peat in here, with a real bite to it. Would be much better given a few more years in cask to balance and round it out. Salinity, kippers, very little sherry despite the Oloroso finish. As with all WHB Whisky, this will evolve once opened and greatly improve as the level in the bottle goes down. I imagine that toward the end of the bottle I will rate it in the high 80's rather than just 82.
- Sincerely little sherry influence; Incidentally, very harmonious and dangerous tasty, quite "set", full of flavor. Medium smoky with campfire and ham smoke. Does not work youthful (rather 15 years +) and is not sprittig. In the departure at once a lot of salt.
Pine nuts, light ham and campfire smoke, nectarines, bread mash, caraway.
Campfire smoke, sweetened brown bread, caraway.
Black bread, a lot of salt, caraway, light campfire smoke.
