Instead of dark, heavy sherry aromas comes to me a rather fresh smell with hay, malt and some pineapple. This is joined by fir honey, the association with Canchánchara (mostly lime ..) and some furniture polish
Starting with a slightly alcoholic tingle, the whisky spreads throughout the mouth. Some cherry, almond, marzipan and orange chocolate. He remains relatively fresh. The initial sweetness gives way to a dryness ..
.. which continues in the medium-long to long finish and even gets a little drier. It comes through again a little pineapple, a slight bitterness in the form of pomelo, finally dark chocolate, red fruits (mainly raspberry) and a slightly mineral note, which spontaneously brings me a little to the 20-year-old Springbank bottling "For Dutch Springbank Lovers" from the sherry barrel remind.
Unusual but delicious Glendronach.
I like the dry finish, the taste is behind the smell for me.
