Whisky Reviews for Laudale 12-year-old AD
7 users have left a review for this whisky and scored it an average of 87.40 points
Milk chocolate, raisin, dried plum, light lemon, butter caramel, sherry flavors very well integrated, wine
Seasoning, caramel, sweetness, tingling of oak, raisin, alcohol content perfect
Sweet, sweet, bittersweet, caramel
- Totally out of round.
- Unfortunately, almost repulsive for me personally, smells like 100 other modern, young sherry bombs with bad notes, in the mouth it then makes up for a few points because they kick back with a lot of air.
Typical extremely modern sherry unfortunately in the nose, lovage, camphor, nutmeg, clove, black pepper, rough leather, blackish, dark malt, licorice, toasted oak
Liquorice, raisins, pine nuts, coal, toasted oak, dates, camphor, cumin, black pepper, nutmeg
Burnt toast, chestnut, clove, lovage, medium length
- This 2nd batch of Laudale delivers a very wine’y ’whisky‘. One can literally smell and taste the sherry above the distillate. It’s no surprise that this whisky is very fruity and delivers all the berries you can imagine. It’s honeysweet with some nice spices. The initial taste is a bit too tingling to my likings. I find this almost closer to wine than whisky. Edit: after some airtime it gets more balanced, but it’s still cask galore.
