Whisky Reviews for Springbank 2004

A very smoky nose is in the glass! Intense light smoke, peat flavors and yellow fruits of mirabelle and apple. In addition, there are aromas of hay, cereals, malt, a lot of salty spice and overall a rather young nose.
Spicy, peaty, smoky, fruity and invigorating on the tongue. Peat, coal, salt, pepper, grapefruit, lime, honey and matching wood with fresh accents. But also leather, herbs, a little vanilla and quite impressive on the palate sticking - beautiful!
Long - soft and spicy and still with a lot of fruit. In addition, a pleasant tingling tart, which is slightly sweet, with honey and lime lined. Again, the wood fits very harmoniously to the other notes. The peaty smoke and the cold ashes are present at all times.
Too bad that the nose comes a little too young. Our tip would be: A longrow barrel! ... but it was a jumper !!
