If you can deal with a lot of acidity and peppery spice, you might score this a couple of points higher than me. I recommend adding water.

Lemon balm, green apple, mint, eukalyptus, chamomile tea.
Oak spice, runny honey and slightly sour milk.
All this with an earthy, dusty overcoat.
    • Taste
      88 88
An acidic and peppery, even slightly fizzy start, then a more herbal and earthy middle before a nicely creamy, waxy finale with sunflower oil and hints of freshly starched linen. Ends on a high note, it's just that the first two thirds are not really my cup of tea.
    • Finish
      87 87
Faint tropical fruits in the finish, which is always a welcome direction, but they are overcome swiftly by a wave of citrus and tart tannins.

with water: in my opinion he doesn't need water, but let's try a few drops: ohh, that's a swimmer who can even tolerate water very well! nice and soft, clearly sweeter, the fruit notes become much more intense

Conclusion: yummy, old GMs are just great, he is no exception. We also have a really good bourbon barrel here that has really done a great job. Especially the nose with the mixture of pastries and strawberry jam is really fun.

Plain scone with clotted cream and strawberry jam, powdered sugar, biscuit dough, a little vanilla, the distillery character can still be discerned in the background (slightly earthy, malty, mineral), some apples can also be found, plus the well-integrated oak with a few Spices (nutmeg and cinnamon)
    • Taste
      88 88
powerful and mild at the same time, lots of fruit, especially apple and fresh peach, cake batter, vanilla and decent oak, but not too strong
    • Finish
      88 88
medium to long, here the oak is stronger, if still not too dominant, grape seeds, some wax, again the fruit cake with apples and peaches
