- Very nice 'straight' whisky, sweet and fruity. Starts off pretty smooth and soft for its high Abv, but after some time it gets more and more powerful.
Very fruity, citrus, ripe apples. Some mineral notes, pretty some alcohol, then sweetness comes in as well, vanilla. Some grassy notes.
Pretty smooth, despite some little pickering mouthfeel. Sweet fruitiness with a sour edge underneath, candy-like and honey. Some floral notes as well. Drying mouthfeel. In time more power now.
Still pretty smooth, predominantly sweet, vanilla, some peach, honey, pretty long. Friendly.
After some time it gets more powerful. Candy, Haribo peaches. Some wood.
C: That first-fill cask sure does talk but the family resemblance alongside the new make is clear. Honest, clean dram.
