Whisky Reviews for Invergordon 1971 BR

  1. franpincoffee scored this whisky 92 points Expert Senior

    http://whiskycast.com/ratings/invergordon-1971/

Single grain whiskies don’t get enough respect in my opinion, but this one deserves plenty of respect! It’s a light gold, oily and thick in the glass, with notes of coconut and banana on the nose. The taste is surprisingly spicy, with a peppery kick that fades to reveal the fruity notes from the nose. The finish is light and tropical-fruit sweet.

  2. Rom did not rate this whisky Expert Junior

Floral nose, grain, coconut, vanilla, dilution brings nuts, old furniture. Warming palate where the corn softens the notes of turpentine, oak, walnut. Long finish on the woods. Nice but a little disappointing.

  3. TheNose scored this whisky 90 points Expert Senior

Nose: moldy orange, wood, cocos, dried fruits, almonds, wax

Taste: walnut liquer, conserved fruits, velvet soft, lovely

Finish: long and sweet, woody and nutty
