4 users have left 7 reviews for this whisky. Average rating is 86.07 points.

  1. KB201 did not rate this whisky Connoisseur

This Ledaig from Tobermory Distillery is a really smoky and complex malt that could have come from the Isle of Islay. Ledaig means "safe harbour". The new bottling of Ledaig was bottled at a higher alcohol content by Burn Stewart. 12-year-old Bunnahabhain and 10-year-old Tobermory also experienced this upgrade.

clearly smoke and therefore nothing for me

    • Nose
Typical young single with smoldering peat smoke, salt, citrus zests and a musty farmyard note. Gradually, mud and empty stables follow. Overall, very structured.
    • Taste
Salt, a lot of peat, smoldering fire, nice harbor flavors of mud, seaweed, salt, fish and rusty machines, maybe even a dinghy and new rubber boots. Later also some coffee.
    • Finish
Long, clear and peaty. Beautifully maritime and very salty in the background.
