I liked the nose, unfortunately the rest didn't knock my socks off. It's drinkable, but that ubiquitous pungency and that fine line between burning in the mouth and watering down bothered me, especially since that burning was noticeable even when almost watered down. But the aroma on the nose was quite nice.
    • Nose
The nose is interesting, a warmth and spiciness hits you straight away, coupled with honey... but also a certain alcoholic pungency.
    • Taste
It's too strong for me on its own, it burns the entire mouth. Still sharp and peppery after a careful addition of water. After adding more water, it becomes milder, dry and astringent. And there it was again, the spiciness I had in my nose before. The drinkable-enjoyable level of water-whiskey ratio is very narrow.
    • Finish
Alcoholic finish and again this omnipresent spiciness, which is replaced by a rye spiciness when you exhale. In the mouth it becomes oilier and slowly burns out. Instead, a slight camphor-like bitterness spreads, a bit like Pyralvex against gingivitis. He says goodbye with herbal bitter aromas.

This was a complete surpise, luckily I had a large sample so I could taste it twice. I knew rye whiskey isn't as sweet as corn whiskey, but it's also less spicy than expected. Instead it has fresh green fruits and a rubbery edge which is hard to score (do I like it or not?)
    • Nose

Unusual nose which takes some time to get used to. Let's try to describe it: green apple gelato, sports shoe, detergent, a bit vegetal followed by the more usual bourbon sweetness (vanilla, raspberry,..)
    • Taste
      80 80
Green apples, vanille, lime. Has a chemical edge (rubber?) that translates into a some smokiness.
    • Finish
      82 82
Much more spicy now. Vanilla sweetness, green fruits (apple, lime) and green tea even. That odd sports shoe or rubbery scent remains.

Actually not so obvious rye - usually it shows a bitter note in the end but here it's really just little
    • Nose
      84 84
Liquorice galore, charred oak and vanilla, little leafy, some spicy notes and green tea, dry rye
    • Taste
      82 82
Subtle sweetness, fruit tea, more charred oak and vanilla, little medicinal, cough drops, more liquorice, Dr. Pepper Cherry
    • Finish
      80 80
Medium long, warm, still fruity, more liquorice, just a tad bitter
