Whisky Reviews for Glenugie 1966 TB

2 users have left a review for this whisky and scored it an average of 92.73 points

  1. detachedblue scored this whisky 91 points Expert Senior

    An excellent sherried Glenugie.
    • Nose
Dark sherry profile, mixed with fresh apple and grapes, very intense and strong.
    • Taste
Sour apple, bitter lemon, drying dark fruits, rich sherry effects such as leather and dates, etc. Also very malty and dusty.
    • Finish
Long, with bitter chocolates and red fruits

  2. Andytka3 scored this whisky 93 points Connoisseur

N- Developing amicably well and highly evolving old malt. Begin with creamy ripe berries, coco-minted-malts, cafe latte and fragrant white fruit. Then clove, scents of cigar, buttery banana, peat bog, earthy and wet grass turf.

P- Wood chips infused sugar and vanilla. Full strength monster but highly velvet, with layer of buttery sphere. Well balance of aged rum soaked fruits with subtle spicy notes on dry edge.

F- Long, mature and gentle. Demarara caramel. Fullness sunk deep with abundance of rock sugared dried fruit and scents of rattan on the return.
