Reddish amber shimmers slightly cloudy in the glass, immediately after pouring an oily streak formed on the glass wall of my Premium Snifter. Thick and syrupy "legs" adorn the glass wall, peat rises in a smoky shape. Mountain pine and pine needles, echoes of banished wood and again resinous conifers ... Gradually the ashy smoky note intensifies, red grapes and berries emerge. Hints of sweet caramel and milk chocolate, a hint of menthol and fresh mint, minimally greasy and oily.

Phew ... heavy smoke lines the palate with the first sip, burnt wood tones and salty sea water follow, then black pepper massages the tongue while creamy and oily red fruits come into their own. Strawberries and raspberries, glazed currants and sweet cherries, again a slight hint of oily pork belly. Fresh mint and eucalyptus appear, then pine needles and mountain pine come to the fore, fly ash pulls through the palate, phenolic smoke comes up.

The fresh and smoky aromas stick to the palate for a long time, sweet grapes and berries come into their own, mint refreshes the throat while fly ash and burnt wood tones slowly come to the fore. The intense reverberation lingers in the entire mouth area for a long time before it fades away with a mixture of sweet caramel and ashy smoke.
