- A strange dram. At first it tasted like monster munch. Adding water gets it that more complex. A bit young though, but not bad.
Gentle meaty smoke, venison like, followed by some sort of citrusy, almost vinous smell, and grapes over a layer of butter.
With water the nose gets that bit of vanilla it was shy of
In the mouth, the smoke is very BbQ based yet followed by a biscuity/coconuty feel. It gets very pleasantly hot and ends on warm peaches.
Adding water transforms the BBQ smoke to a tobacco leave taste, getting it creamy.
The finish starts where the mouth ended with fruits then goes back to a lingering BBQ smoke. With water, the mouth gets far hotter. And the fruit gets to live with the smoke even better.

- SMWS Tasting Notes: Amidst the smell of clean earth and turf came divine aromas that heralded a welcome break as sizzling bacon and freshly baked bread became acquainted. Warm milk bubbled in an old pan whilst toasty and malty wafts came from roasted barley and puff pastry. Fresh oranges gently warmed over a peat fire and mixed with apricot marmalade and toasted malt loaf with butter. Then after the addition of a few drops of water, elements of chestnuts, walnuts and toasted pine nuts fused in a coal fireplace full of ash and dust. Sweetness emerged as baked Alaska united with praline on a finish that also incorporated segments of baked lemon.
