Whisky Reviews for Paul John Nirvana
3 users have left a review for this whisky and scored it an average of 77.64 points
- Aroma is basic but interesting, it shows a bit of youth and raw malt character but not in a cloying new make way (though their new make is pretty good); Palate is less sweet and less farmy than aroma but it’s no less interesting; Finish is warm but short and I really wish it would stay around longer. All-in-all it’s a nicely-executed basic whisky, which is exactly what it’s meant to be.
Super malty, with a pleasant, sweet cereal nose.
Very sweet and a little bit fiery.
Rough, but not gross.
- I didn’t like the whisky, it didn’t live up to its loud name “Nirvana”. It is completely empty, with an extraneous bitterness and some kind of chemical aftertaste.
Dusty, with hints of stale bread, cardboard and broken branches.
Dry, bready, with an unpleasant bitterness.
Short, empty, with an excessively large malt component, with a bias in bitterness and some kind of papery flavor.
