Playing with plenty of water, those who fail to do so will miss the best thing about this whisky! For me as a Blair Athol lover one of the top 10, but not an easy dram. And no, even if another commentator sees it differently: First in the Bourbon cask made of American oak, then a finish in the Malmsey Madeira cask made of American oak (the label is incorrectly printed!). Far and wide no (!!!) sherry !!!
Citrus peels, citrus fruits, earthy tones, burnt nuts, lovage, vanilla, reminds very slightly of rye whisky
Citrus fruits, light wood, burned nuts, vanilla, light sweetness, nicely balanced, some Rye spice again; Water lets something of the distillery character shine through
medium length, slight sweetness, slight bitterness
