Butter, toffee, honey, light varnish, wood chips, yellow flowers, burnt notes, burnt banana peel, dried thyme, very light smoke and even lighter sulphuric note. Brown sugar or molasses, chamomile tea. Overall quite light.
Alcohol level is decent, has a medium bite, it's warm and has some black pepper, but first off, the dominating notes are honey, beeswax, lemon zest, toffee, then come very light smoke, a bit too much bitter oak, some soapy or chemical notes. Smoke is building up, hope to see more of that. Second chew brings toasted notes, toasted waffle, roasted chestnuts, lemon oil, charred wood, smoke building up, good toffee sweetness, bitterness going down. Getting a lot better. Third chew has a lot more bite, freshly cracked black pepper scraping down my tongue, it's a lot fuller, and luckily it doesn't get super dry. More smoke, some fresh ginger, toffee, chestnuts, ripe banana, very little bit of banana skin, here it's actually quite good and showing a lot of classic HP notes.
Warm and peppery, ginger, toffee, smoke, vanilla, light chestnuts and bananas, very smooth and good balance.
