Pink candy floss was among the first things the Panel declared when nosing this one. Followed by red apples, rhubarb and custard, foam sweeties, molten marshmallows, gummi bears and burnt sandalwood. The Panel felt it was an uncharacteristically dense aroma for a grain. Water revealed pot pourri, lanolin, star anise, warm glue gun, furniture polish, trampled dandelions, chalk and toasted cereals. The mouth displayed poached rhubarb, homemade fruit wines, young calvados, rapeseed oil, orange liqueur and banana chips. With water we added lime curd, high ester rum, lychee cordial, rosehip tea and aged dry chenin blanc.
