      Dried fruits like raisins and dates. Followed by hints of vanilla and brown sugar. It turns very spicy now with hints of cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves. Some orange zest, limes and a waxy note at the end.

      Firstly sweet notes like vanilla and chocolate which makes place for fruity notes like raisins and oranges. Also very spicy on the palate. Notes of cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger and herbs at the end. On the background some oak.

      Medium-long. Vanilla, ginger and oak lingers for some time.

    SMWS Tasting Notes: A fresh moorland; earthy and heathery. Then plunging towards brown sugar, old rope and furniture polish. Cracked leather, soot and olive oil with some lemon wax and demerara rum. Water lightens things with fresh brown bread, shortcrust pastry, hibiscus tea, lemon jam and rosehips. Hints of orange oils, chocolate sauce and manhattan cocktails. The palate opens on sultana jam, blasamic vinegar, waxy ointments and aged herbal liqueurs before moving towards hardwood resins and mentholated throat sweets. With water there are touches of cough medicine, olive oil, cherry medicine, plum tarts, treacle sponge and praline. Some black tea and graphite oil in the finish. Matured for 13 years in a bourbon hogshead before transfer to a 1st fill PX sherry hogshead.
