Palate: salmiak pastilles, smoked meat, a little honey and a splash of lime juice. Unripe fruit without identifying it more precisely. Towards the end more smoke, a little burnt toast.
Finish: Long and warming, smoke from a damp campfire and cocoa.
Conclusion: The style of the Ben Nevis is strongly reminiscent of an island whisky, although Fort William is actually on the water. All in all a worthy representative, even if, with its approx. 60 euros for a malt without an indication of age, not exactly cheap. 85/100 points - www.notesofmalt.com
