- really a great cask and a bang for the buck when looking at the 45-50€ release price! Nevertheless the nose and finish shows (very decent but it does) the youth and we slightly miss the 90 points or even 90+ this time.
- Color: dark amber
Extremely cute. Violent jujube aroma. Slightly grainy. Freshly baked walnut and raisin cake. Icetea. A lot of wood. The alcohol is well integrated, nothing stings.
Almost viscous on the palate. Sweet with jujube taste, walnut and raisin cake, some cherry taste and a lot of wood. The distillery character also comes through and reminds a bit of a grain. Fortunately not scary.
Long with jujube and lots of wood.
Conclusion: What a cask, if just 10 months of post-aging have such an effect? Or did you store the barrel in the boiler room?
Edit: When heated, still almonds come out.
Floral, sweet, resin, dark cherry, wax, old gingerbread
