I only had one sample of this bottle, this in advance.

A super 21 year old Glengoyne. You just have to love.
I would like to have a large bottle of, but there is so much good to discover. But it would also be worth something.
    Maybe someday again.
    • Nose
Apple and peach dominate at the beginning. Of course, he also got oak after this time. But not too woody.
It is joined by nutmeg, cinnamon and almonds. Also plum.
After a while raisins, sweet sweet sweet and sweet.
You can tell it is old and has taken out of the barrel well. Actually, I just want to smell it ...

A sip later, when the mouth is wet, add tobacco, caramel and leather. After a long time you can make out a mown meadow.
    • Taste
Oak. But so pleasant. Very strong wood.
All fruits that you smell can also be tasted.
      Plus the wonderful malt.
      And the nuts. Maybe walnuts.
The fruits are more like dried fruits. And sweet. Wonderfully cute.
      Raisins and dark chocolate.
Very complex. There is certainly much, much more to discover.
    • Finish
      The wood stays the longest.
And long is the program here.
      Chocolate stays too.

Immediately after pouring, a fruitiness pours out of the glass: apples, pears, plums (I would have estimated the alcohol content to be much higher after the first smell). Little by little the spicy sherry fights its way through. A partly intense alcohol note is also noticeable at the beginning. After a while in the glass, the whole thing has calmed down and looks very harmonious. A variety of flavors emerge: cinnamon, vanilla, dark berries, spices, honey, some wood.

very oily with a slight tingling sensation. The sweetness and fruitiness are very dominant for me at the beginning, but then decrease after a short time and change into a pleasant spiciness. Honog, vanilla, wood, pepper, sherry, nuts, chocolate, tobacco.

long, chocolate, wood, vanilla, slightly bitter, sweet again towards the end

Inspiring in every way, takes a good 30 minutes in Glencairn glass to reach its peak in taste and nose.
A lot of old, heavy velvety and goodness (in every sense of the word) combined with Christmas, cinnamon, dark chocolate, chocolates, nuts.
    • Nose
Oak fruits apple berries plum peach cinnamon nutmeg nuts almonds sherry sherry dried fruits raisin sweet sweet vanilla caramel leather tobacco
dark tones in the nose, deeply woven, heavy, old, well matured - you want to smell it again and again
    • Taste
Oak Fruit Spices Cinnamon Malt Walnut Oil Almond Sherry Dried Fruit Raisin Fig Herb Coffee Dark Chocolate Leather Tobacco Clove
      highly complex, great, earthy-profound.
    • Finish
Oak spices dark chocolate leather tobacco
long, warming, not bitter, very complex

    • Nose
some earth, apple, some cinnamon, honey, cereals, nutmeg and other spices, dry wood and a few grasses or green plants
    • Taste
Apple, honey, lemon, lime, a bit of herbes, but I just can not really classify that, some pepper
