Color: Gold deep, clean and clear, but it does not show 24 years aging in sherry butt, so the barrel may be second fill (it does not spoil us at all)

Nose: In my opinion the strongest point. It is a malt that, with your first smell, is balanced, intense and full, but at the end of the test his nose won me more than the others.

None, but no relation to 55.1% points. Alcohol does not bother at all, incredibly sweet and warm feeling and as a first impression shows you sweet vanilla (something like the old good and well known vanilla cream Yotis) but ... sherry butt! Something may be wrong, but I will not take it back. I found this.

Then starts the scouring of perfumes and actually somewhere you lose the ball. Wonderful nose, warm, full and rounder with sweet jams of blueberries, sweet oranges, cherries. Honey in the background, the well-known and non-exquisite cinnamon drops but in a sweet version (I would say as an expensive fragrance). Chocolate cake and butter candy with black sugar to follow! Wonderful nose, looks a bit monotonous to sweetness, but in the background comes a gentle sea breeze (in no case harbors) along with damp soil, something like an afternoon stroll in the sea (winter notes). Sweet filter coffee, I would say with a nutty flavor (almond?) And a few dried fruits (papaya ?!)

Mouth: Gentle than 55.1%, velvet, it starts off like the old HP HP 18, but the sweet smoky notes are missing. Chocolate, salt, burnt sugar (black I would say) and for those who know me, without this repellent (for me) "fabric" that brings to my mouth a sherry matured malt. Here is this vanilla cream that I was telling you and buttermilk waffles. But there, many of the incredible ones in the nose do not pass into the mouth.

Flavor: I would say that the best (as an aftertaste) for 2019 I have tried so far. Gentle, warm, a little salt and very chocolate black with butter candy. It accompanies you very much and in no case does it bother you 55.1%. In the background comes sweet cinnamon (in wood) and a little bit of cherry lice (the old favorite of grandmother).

sugar-heavy fruits.. peaches and pineapples.. the sherry is dense, almost smokey, without feeling heavy.. vanilla and cinnamon buns.. freshly cut herbs.. slight acidity that calls forward lemons and more exotic fruits than i have ever smelled before, but they surely must exist.

with water, this thing becomes fresher, more citrusy, less oily.

sweet again, but with a vegetal twist.. pure Tobermory spirit clearly coming through the wafts of sherry and old age.. a bitter fairy barely making its presence felt.. water brings forward the Tobermory vegetal funk and pushes down the sherry

dry, peppery, salty even.. sweetness stops here and morphs into licorice and lemongrass.. prickly, small deities dance for a long time on the tongue

What a lovely Tobermory. Complex. Don't rush it. Needs time. Opens up best after 30 mins with one drop of water.
