Sweet nose on caramel, buttered corn on the cob and mildly bitter oranges.
Hints of coffee and chocolate. Evolves towards red fruit to end in a soft,
sweet nose that reminds me of the better rums out there. Soft on the spices
too. Quite nice.
Spicy and rather dry on the palate, as if the whisky evaporates on the
tongue! Loads of wood and surprisingly smoky. Again quite rummy on nuts and
figs. Chocolate returns. Sturdy fellow.
The finish is long, spicy and warming.
