Whisky Reviews for Glenfiddich Vintage Cask
3 users have left a review for this whisky and scored it an average of 74.86 points
Starts pleasantly with a light leather scent. Followed by pickled capers (says my wife) and paprika noble sweet spice. Moist wood, vanilla and a little caramel. Quince jelly and a dash of white chocolate. A tart note fits in nicely here. With a little time in the glass there are white wine notes in combination with light berries. However, the alcohol sticks out of the background a little inappropriate. Sour cucumber water over it.
Peppery, watery approach. Spruce needle oil and earthy. A surprising smoke note is added. Burnt toast with some butter. Musty intermediate taste. Slightly fermented gooseberries and unfortunately this metallic undertone also comes through here. Sour plums and sourdough.
Medium length. Peppery and a tart spice. A paste-like taste, in combination with metallic notes, sticks in the mouth.
