  1. Cristoffski scored this whisky 84 points Member Senior

Fresh oak notes in the nose mixed with green apple scent, quite herby and some hints of pine and mint.
Wood tones continue in the mouth, quite some tannins and finishes with caramel coffee and a little bitterness.

  2. ffmdino did not rate this whisky Connoisseur

it's challenging and difficult for me
my first thought: is he too young? But at 17?
rather wrong barrel aging or weird barrel
it is too aggressive and takes a lot of time before you can enjoy it
    • Nose
good apple !! later becomes floury, slightly pear, sweetness, vanilla becomes stronger, malt, pastries (waffle, Danish shortbread, vanilla shortbread), slightly chemical (something like plastic), banana comes
    • Taste
full and strong on the palate, oily
light oak, light malt, spicy increases, salt liquorice, spices (cinnamon, nutmeg, ..)
later vanilla, caramel, shortbread, light leather, oak and malt increase, but the oak is more gentle
    • Finish
      medium long
warm, light oak, shortbread, spicy increases, tart notes (could be berries)
later sulfur, rotten eggs, old wood

  3. HammerHead scored this whisky 80 points Connoisseur

A bit weird, not much fruitiness. Definitely benefits from time and oxidation in both bottle and glass.
    • Nose

The first dram had a lot of weird off notes like staleness, soap, rancid butter and some plastic. In sequential drams the nose improves quite a lot and shows more of a greasy buttery feel with some apple, pear, vanilla, porridge and a mild liquorice. It remains savory though (but not in a particularly good way) and never becomes really top notch.
    • Taste
      79 79
Greasy and salty butter, porridge, liquorice, a bit of vanilla, some marmelade and bitter citrus. Developes into notes of nutmeg, pepper and a very subtle sulfury thing going on in the background.
    • Finish
      77 77
Medium length: mashed potato's, butter, salt, liquorice and some more sulfur.
