yellow wine of Savagnin for a 10 years of 5 different barrels
    • Nose
      white macvin feeling
      sourdough and brioche flavor
fresh walnuts, a little vanilla and lemon zest
feeling of pumpkin soup, orange zest in it.
    • Taste
yeast, quince with mold on it
the characteristic yellow wine, almost bitter, slightly acidic and a sweet return at the end it becomes sweet on the palate.
the nut again that you almost have to chew!
    • Finish
long, gripping, slightly bitter on the wine
on the pumpkin, on the cooked and sweet tangerine
      on yeast, singular
      final that lasts!

Great appearance due to a strong cloudiness and very small particles from the barrel.

Quite overwhelmed by the wine, in my opinion.
He does what he does well. However, I lack the variety here.

The weakest couvreur so far for my taste.
    • Nose
Sweet and sour, winy note. Oranges, apricots, orange zest in the background, some cappucino appears behind the fruit notes. Then again fruits with citrus notes, grapefruit most likely.
      Some gummy bears.
    • Taste
Juicy fruits again, nice mouthfeel. Clear wine aromas with sweet and also acid. You can feel oak very easily. Dryness only sounds briefly.
    • Finish
Only for a long time a clear fruit note. Tingles easily in the mouth and stays long. Here, for the first time, a little more oak is shown. Overall, however, very wine-heavy.

The best whisky from this series. I really like it. 89 points.
    • Nose
Fresh oranges, some lemon cake. A delicate vanilla. Slightly roasted walnuts. An apple that is fresh at first becomes increasingly sweeter. A little brittle.
    • Taste
Orange juice. Incredibly juicy. But it is a mild and sweet orange juice, hardly any acid. With almonds and apple. The oak in the background discreetly spices.
    • Finish
Medium length and fruity. Orange peel and apple peel stay longer.

Definitely a good attempt, but I appreciate the Couvreur sherry barrel maturation and it will stay that way.

Cereals, resin, clear youth ... after a while apple and more sweetness are added. Reminiscent of an oxidative wine.
    • Taste
      82 82
Strong start, almost a bit spicy, but always a present fruit, not quite harmonious
    • Finish
      81 81
      Simple, light, pleasant

Single malt. Special wine from Jura named savagnin. Bacteria make special flavor, the vale protects the wine and gives some yeasts to the whisky. Either love it or hate it. Vin jaune can last very long in the bottle, recently sold some vin jaune from 15th century.

Very nice unusual nose, Very dry in the mouth, unusual taste, definitely love or hate it whisky. Made out of 5 different casks, some Matured in dry cellar while others were Matured in Humid cellar. Different cellar results in different alcohol strength, resulted in strength between 30% and 55% then mixed together. Liked it, unusual but something interesting and special. 85/86p

    of the JV and notes:
Nose: In a first place the influence of Savagnin makes you feel with notes oxidation, nuts. Then on citrus fruits and quince.
Palate: First round, warm and nervous.
Final: Very complex, evolving between bitterness and acidity
