    a juvenile peat bomb, but this time tastes like only 4 years. No comparison to the clear, clean and direct note of this Staoisha here:

    The rating may be a little hard, but he did not trigger enthusiasm with me.
    • Nose
      Young, fresh, citrus and surprisingly light. Of course, there is peat, but the nose is more youthful, citrus and somehow a bit of yogurt. Almost a bit too young, no wonder after 4 years, but I had other young ones already. Water makes your nose even more scary.
    • Taste
      pure very directly, peat, ash, a little burnt plastic, citrus, very full on the 12th Too pretty dirty, new makig. Goes well with his 60%. With water a little less direct, but little change.
    • Finish
      Tart, peaty, dirty, ashy, youthful, licorice, some maggic herb and after adding water also mint.

  3. PuddingmitHaut did not rate this whisky Expert Junior

    • Nose
      When I smelled the bottle, heavy smoke rose into my nose and there was an immediate association with Islay. In the glass, his colleague is no longer so smoky. Beautiful sweet malt notes play a part here, it almost has a creamy appearance, vanilla, but the smoke is already present, charred wet logs, but the sweetness remains, fruitiness towards tropical fruits, so medium-ripe, spicy then, with herbs.
    • Taste
      In the mouth, the smoke is clearer, but the sweetness is a bit restrained, burnt grass, the fruit remains more of the skin, tartly sour, pineapple, papaya, grapefruit, then the spice prevails paired with the grassy herbaceous smoke and a fine bitter note that shapes the finish.

    Alright, a few more years would do him good
    • Nose
      quite stinging in the nose even with water; Smoke; citrus; Malt; Aroma rather weak, all supported by a strong alcoholic strength
    • Taste
      Smoke; Oak (burnt oak) citrus;
      undiluted, a little sweeter and spicier;
    • Finish
      citrus; Smoke; getting a little bitter; light oak, oak becomes a little spicier and stronger; warms the esophagus;
      Smoke becomes drier (like a smoldering campfire)
