I have passed this bottle several times, not sure what I would be getting for my money.
The price in Sweden's Systembolaget is 799,- SeK, which is about £66, a bit more than I have been willing to gamble on 0,5 of unknown bourbon.
Thanks to karloff for the sample, I may pick up a bottle next time I see it.

      Quite sophisticated sweetness.
Vanilla with a "musky" ginger undertone.
Sugary brown syrup and roasted chestnuts.
      Little to no alc fumes.
Would have been interesting to know the age, because this is either more than average for a bourbon or it was a cask from an exceptional oak tree.
Some time in the glass and it appears a bit lighter and more fruity, even some faint floral notes.

A perfect follow up to the nose.
Sweet with a mixture of brown sugar and vanilla.
It immediately coats the mouth in pleasing goodness, no wavering. Gentle gingery spice and roasted flavours are present from the get go.
It doesn't evolve much, but who cares with such a good entry.

About medium lenght. Sweet and a tiny bit drying.

If this stuff was about during prohibition in Chicago, Al Capone would have killed to get his hands on it for his private stock.
There is a couple of negatives, the price and the bottle size. 500ml What is all that about? What I like about the American bottles is the extra 50ml.

Lots of vanilla and tangerine. Chocolate orange and peach.
It's like walking into your favourite sweet shop.
There is a bit of ginger cake and a bit of banana cake.
This is a treat to the senses.

For a bourbon drinker this is just heavenly. Everything is just right, the strength, the texture and the flavour.
You have got brown sugar and I will quote Mick Jagger " you know you taste so good ". Just the right cocktail of fruit with some syrup thrown in. Some bourbons have a chemical taste to them but this doesn't.
It should be drank as is and should never go near a cocktail.
    • Finish
      92 92
The finish is just as great, medium to long and all those wonderful flavours especially the vanilla and orange dry on to your tongue and the brown sugar on to your lips.
