  1. Dre73 scored this whisky 83 points Connoisseur

Easy, accessible whisky. Fresh nose, light body, not too complex, it lacks a little power.
    • Nose
      84 84
Very fruity, citrus, orange and lemon. Grassy, sweet as well, vanilla. Fresh nose, pleasant, apples.
    • Taste
      82 82
Soft, smooth, a very little pickering. Fruity again, lemon, and clearly much more sweetness now, vanilla. A bit thin mouthfeel. Nuts as well.
    • Finish
      82 82
Now some more pickering, still fruity with some orange and sweetness, vanilla. Not very long, a little bitter now.

  3. Lakerfield scored this whisky 83 points Expert Junior

Uncomplicated but simply a good nose. There are classic fruits to be found (in a light/delicate fashion) like apple, kiwi, pear, apricot and pineapple. Further on honey, vanilla, wax and grainy notes. Not a lot of depth.
In the mouth exactly what you would expect, it follows the nose: fruity with a malty backbone. No further surprises and it is really quaffable. Finish is a bit short and that's the weak point of this dram.

Even though it's bottled at 43% I have to say the alcohol is a bit too much there in the sense of a little bitterness. Considering the price, this is a proper daily dram. It's a bit Clynelish-y with some rough edges. One to simply pour into a tumbler glass without overthinking.. :)

    Based on a sample.

As a beginner's whisky for the distillery fulfilling its purpose (as he is also thought), but at the same time as ex-bourbon everyday whisky pleasant.
    • Nose
      86 86
Typical ex-bourbon notes like bright fruits (apples, pears, light grapes, citrus, apricots) and vanilla. Delicate oak. Fresh and pleasant.
    • Taste
      85 85
The oak hovers over a tasty nutty component (whale and hazelnuts that almost remind you of Monte), pale sweetness in the mouth almost completely gone. Alcohol very well integrated, but to be expected for its content.
    • Finish
      85 85
      Medium length, walnut notes predominate.
