Not an every day dram, but not too complicated either. Quite harmonious.

    Notes from a blind tasting.

    Atypical Clynelish.

Red fruits and a little sweat right after pouring. Immediately afterwards malt and panna cotta. After standing for a while, it becomes creamier, more panna cotta, notes of sherry, followed by light floral notes and also some oak. With hand warmth, a distinct fruit acidity with fermentation notes develops, later a little scented soap, then herbs.
    • Taste
      87 87
In the mouth it is initially less sweet than expected, herbs are the beginning, but then along with the alcohol there is also a strong sweetness, something between honey and pudding. Fruit notes are present, but very much in the background. There is a slight woodiness to the rear.
    • Finish
      85 85
The finish is medium-long and ends suddenly, with the malt continuing to dry up until then. It briefly but clearly warms the chest area.

Unfortunately, this waxy note is already very pronounced. But that's a minor flaw.

Otherwise great malt with a great barrel!

We have become a buddy ...

Fermented fruits without end, but very waxy, forest honey, wood is easy to feel, earthy character, sherry is clear!
Here too, some cappuccino comes through over time.
    • Taste

Sweet red fruits such as blackberries in wood are easily available. And then there is a strong sweetness with very waxy aromas and beguiling mouthfeel.
There is a lot to discover here!
Later, the barrel aromas from the sherry barrel become more and more varied.
Chocolate and even coffee are also added.

The fruits and sweetness stay long. Mouth is covered and the whole thing ends with a warm and slightly bitter oak note. Nice...
