my best guess was: refill wood with a unsual sweetness in the finish, around 15 years and 50%, some Speyside distillery...
It is neither complex nor powerful - easy to drink but the sweetness due to the sherry finish puts me off (too sweet). The finish suggests that the dram is older...
I have the feeling that I would have preffered this without the sherry finish - just with plain american wood.
- I'm typing on a medium old refill sherry keg. A beautifully made whisky, very tasty, with the amount of acidity but nothing for every day. Special depth is not found.

OK, a sherry finish and young. Unexpected but already fits. Does Teaninich work with peat? Dunnage it can hardly have been, at the age ...
Dark fruit, a little sweat and a barrel make the beginning. After a short time, overripe yellow fruits are added. After standing Fertile. More restrained than at the beginning. It could also be a few ppm smoke, but I'm not sure.
With heat, the nose is stronger, more acid, noble fruit vinegar. I no longer have the feeling of smoke.
Mild in the start, before then but a clear sharpness sets in the back. Light honey, again yellow fruit with a clear acidity and strong oak at the back.
In the coffee departure, the acidity goes slowly, leaving behind a light bread and now I'm not sure if there is not an idea smoke. He warms up vigorously. Overall, the finish is medium.
- Interesting how closed it is initially in the nose. The aromas must be worked out properly.

Then, after some life and extensive strain of the olfactory bulb, raisins and dried plums, cherries covered, leather. Everything but low doses and on low flame.
On the tongue then less closed and restrained. Sweet cherries and blackberries, raisins, dried plums, caramel and honey. Not too strong. Dry from the beginning. Mild spices.
Medium long, dry. Sweet ripe cherries, raisins, slightly spicy.
- this one is very different from a teaninich from a bourbon hoggie; The keg did a great job there
I will try it again with water but he does not need it because the alcohol is well integrated
I like it is a delicious challenge
first difficult to access then sherry !!, dark, raspberry or wild berry, earthy / mineral, sweetness, slightly tobacco, obscures a fresh note
later comes tasty banana added
