A mhmmmm nose! Sherry clearly present and - noticeable to me for the first time - the sea breeze with salt. Nice! It tastes really good to me. Can understand why he tastes so many! The sherry is present in the nose, but by no means overwhelming.

The color of the malt is a decent gold. Right at the start I get a neat sherry cloud in my nose. Then it becomes flowery, almost merging with the perfume (heather) paired with spicy nuances. Can it be that I smell something like salt? Interesting. For the first time that I notice this often-quoted sea breeze.

The first impression is a surprisingly lively with a nice round mouthfeel. Immediately combined with a nice honey sweetness, not cardboard sweet, rather fruity sweet. Sherry, rather light-fruity, is present in the mouth. I also have the floral from the nose in the mouth. It is spicy and salty.

It runs comfortably warm down the throat. The fruity, lighter sherry notes remain in the mouth for longer. I don't notice any oak on the first sip, so there is no bitterness worth mentioning. The oak is subtly there from the second sip. But really only subliminally supporting the fruit. Delicious!

Hui, peppery start; It is worthwhile to dilute one or two additional drops of water, especially since such a very interesting aroma and taste profile can be found. Little smoke for Islay, but also so pleasant to drink.

Clear sweetness and sherry. Light smoke (maybe 5 ppm). Red dried fruit. Caramel note and nut-marzipan note. Light sea prize (very easy!). Wine associations. - With drops of water: more fruit flavors, slightly honey-sweet.

hot and peppery start. Clear malt and fruit. Nuts & sherry. Slightly sweet. Some oak and spices. - With drops of water: pepper is gone, but sweeter, more fruit. Chocolate caramel comes out late in the back.
    • Finish

tart, maritime aftertaste; still spices & light malt note. Faded sweetness. Chocolate (but more whole milk than bitter or dark chocolate) and some oak. Chili catch is preserved for a long time. Overall dry.

Delicious whisky with a good price / quality ratio.
