- SMWS Tasting Notes: The panel noted whipped cream with physalis at first. An Italian dessert cabinet with fatty layers, dried cereals, a damp grain store and suggestions of furtive spices. Water hits a rich seam of salted caramel, hessian cloth, confit lemon and a subtle dollop of orange marmalade. On the palate it was a notable textured dram with a fruity, chilli bite. Lots of dried plums, plum jam, red apples and buttered scones. Dilution brings out notes of brioche and aged riesling. Becomes texturally thicker and more floral as well. An ideal match with some Foie Gras mused the panel.
